The Imitation Game diretto da Morten Tyldum ed interpretato da Benedict Cumberbatch e Keira Knightley ha vinto il premio più prestigioso, il People Choice, al Toronto International Film Festival 2014, come molti si aspettavano ed avevano previsto.
Il film ha così iniziato bene la sua corsa verso la prossima stagione dei premi.
Infatti, negli ultimi sei anni, ogni vincitore di questo premio ha avuto una nomination agli Oscar per il miglior film e tre di questi hanno vinto (12 anni schiavo , Il discorso del re e The Millionaire).
